We are back and rested from our week off and ready to kick off another NEW STAFF SPOTLIGHT!
Welcome JOSHUA MILLER!
Hello! My name is Josh Miller, and I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the Jourdanton team this year as the Assistant Principal of Jourdanton Early Childhood Center. Supporting early learners has been a true passion of mine since I began my career in education in 2020, teaching early childhood special education in Galveston. I made the transition into administration in 2023, and I’ve loved every moment of helping both students and teachers grow and thrive.
I earned my undergraduate degree from Sam Houston State University and completed my Master’s in Education Management at the University of Houston–Clear Lake, where I’m also currently pursuing my Doctorate in Educational Leadership.
Outside of work, I’m a creative at heart! I’m a musician—guitar is my main instrument, but I dabble in many others. I’m a big fan of country music (especially the Turnpike Troubadours). Before becoming an educator, I wanted to be an artist, and I still enjoy painting and drawing in my free time. I love staying busy with projects around the house, my wife says that’s one of her favorite things about me! My favorite store has now become Lowes!
I’m honored to be part of the Jourdanton community and excited to partner with staff, students, and families to make this year amazing. Let’s make it a great one!
