Today the JISD Food Processing class got to spend the morning touring Pleasanton H‑E‑B. While on the tour, the students got to see behind the scenes how our meat is received, inventoried, processed, and prepared for the retail case. The students learned the importance of workplace safety, sanitation, tracking of products, the cold chain, and the technology used so H‑E‑B can ensure they are providing safe and wholesome products for their customers. Overall everyone had a great experience and are extremly thankful for the time Gary and his partners took out of their day to share their expertise with our class.
